When you match four or more tiles in certain shapes, a special tile appears. You set off a special tile by swiping it or tapping it. Tapping also uses a move.
| Match | Special tile | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Straight line of 5 or longer | Evil Eye Bead | Clears every tile of the color you swiped it with. If you tap it, it clears the most common color on the board. |
| L or T (two arms of 3) | Humbara | Clears the 3×3 area around it. |
| 2×2 square | Eagle | Hits 5 squares in a plus shape where it sits, then flies to a target. It goes for obstacles in the level goals first. |
| Straight line of 4 | Tug Spear | Clears a whole row or column. A horizontal match of 4 gives a tile that clears a column; a vertical match of 4 gives one that clears a row. |
If several shapes form at once, the strongest wins: straight 5, then L/T, then square, then straight 4.
If a special tile's blast touches another special tile, that one goes off too.
Combos
Swipe two special tiles into each other and they go off together with a bigger blast.
| Combo | Result |
|---|---|
| Evil Eye Bead + Evil Eye Bead | Clears the whole board. |
| Evil Eye Bead + another special tile | Every tile of the most common color on the board turns into that special tile, and they all go off together. |
| Tug Spear + Tug Spear | One full row and one full column. |
| Humbara + Humbara | A big 5×5 blast. |
| Tug Spear + Humbara | Three rows and three columns. |
| Eagle + Eagle | 3 birds fly to different targets. |
| Eagle + Tug Spear or Humbara | The bird carries the other tile to a target and sets it off there. |
When you win a level, your leftover moves aren't wasted: the special tiles on the board go off, and your leftover moves turn into new special tiles that go off too.
