Spread only works on hexes next to your land. If you want to grow in a faraway area, you first need land there, and then you need to move your Home Base there.
Step by step
- Get land there. You can't take a faraway unowned hex directly. But you can Raid another player's land. Raid range is up to 3000 km from the area you're in or from one of your Saved locations.
- Wait 24 hours. Land you took with a raid must have been yours for at least 24 hours. During this time, the old owner may try to take it back with a counter-raid; reinforce your land.
- Move your Home Base there. Tap the land and make it your Home Base. You wait 168 hours before the next move; the first move has no wait.
- Spread around your new Home Base. Now you can grow with Spread into the neighboring hexes there.
Good to know
- When you move your Home Base, your land in the old area stays yours, but you can't spread from it because it isn't connected to your new Home Base.
- You can keep using Reinforce on your old land.
- Your old Home Base loses its protection and can be raided.
- If you have no land left, use "Resettle" on the map to settle again in the area you're in or at one of your Saved locations.
