New players' land can't be raided for 12 hours after they build their First Settlement on the map. During this time you spread and reinforce your land.
- Protection starts when you build your First Settlement on the map, not when your account is created.
- If you haven't settled yet, the clock doesn't run; you get the full protection when you settle.
- A protected player's land shows the "New Player Protection" badge.
- Protection works both ways: during this time you can't start a raid on anyone either. The same clock applies to both; raids open when your protection ends.
- Protection doesn't apply to a counter-raid by a former owner who lost the land in the last 24 hours.
